Legends on the Niagara: A Leader in Accessible Golf

Niagara Falls, ON – The Niagara Parks Commission’s (NPC) Legends on the Niagara, one of
Canada’s most highly acclaimed public golf courses has become Ontario’s first golf complex to
offer the SoloRider golf cart, thereby enhancing the facility’s overall accessibility for those looking to play its courses.

With the recent purchase of the SoloRider, mobility impaired golfers will now have the opportunity to play a full round at any of Legends three courses, on a specially designed 350-degree swivel seat golf cart, which elevates to allow players to tee off and putt, while also allowing them to travel on the greens and even into sand traps, due to its turf-friendly designed tires. According to The Niagara Parks Commission Chairman Jim Williams, “acquiring the SoloRider for Legends was an easy choice to make. It’s all about improving accessibility and enhancing the experience for those golfers who might not otherwise get a chance to play one of our spectacular courses.”

Frank Peter, a Niagara Falls resident who has been paralyzed from the chest down since 1985, owns his own SoloRider. He joined NPC pro Curtis Labelle at Legends recently to play a roundand to demonstrate the carts’ effectiveness and options. Prior to teeing off, Mr. Peter stated, “the SoloRider allows me to get off the couch and hit the course! Its availability at Legends will allow not only the disabled, but anyone with a mobility impairment to get back out there and enjoy the game they love.”

To reserve your tee-time and the SoloRider, simply contact Niagara Parks Golf at 1-866-465-
